Reflective Essay on Outcome Based Education  Outcome Based Education (OBE) is a popular educational strategy/approach that is widely adopted by the higher educational institutes around the world and in Sri Lanka. In it’s simplest form, an OBE-based education system drives the students towards achieving a set of pre-defined goals (outcomes). These goals dictate the attributes, qualities, skills, and knowledge, a student should develop and gain at the end of a lesson. The OBE is a learner-centric education system that discourages traditional educational strategies. By setting the outcomes at the beginning of a programme/course, OBE-based learning enables students to have a clear understanding on what needs to be accomplished at the end of the programme/course.
